Trust the card, not the resemblance

On a misaligned card, a public forfeit of 5 makes Trust and Keep the equilibrium. The SAME/DIFFERENT label changes no score. The computer only deals the cards.

How to sit

  1. Promiser. You see a payoff card and choose Keep or Break. The other person cannot see this choice.
  2. Hand the computer over. Look away.
  3. Decider. You see the same card and a label, SAME or DIFFERENT. You do not see what the Promiser chose. You choose Trust or Verify.
  4. The round is revealed. Points are not money. There are 12 rounds. The explanation of the equilibrium is shown only at the end.

The label says whether a displayed priority matches the Decider. It does not change anyone's points, and it cannot remove the forfeit.

Seven classroom pairs have already played code 206. On the forfeit card, Trust was 26/28 and Keep stayed 15/28. Those cards were rounds 5, 7, 11, and 12, so the rise in Trust is mixed with order. Aligned Trust was 16/28, not higher than Trust on a misaligned card with no forfeit (18/28). That record is exploratory. It is not this sitting.

Leave the code blank for a new shuffle. Nothing is uploaded. An AI does not play either role.
